OLAM

Kosher Safari

A private kosher safari, in the wild.

A private kosher safari is a luxury African safari where every meal is prepared to your required kashrut standard — through supervised catering or sealed provisioning flown in — and Shabbat is spent at the lodge with no game drives scheduled. Olam plans private vehicles, guides and pacing around your family.

Meals in the bush

Remote lodges rarely have kosher kitchens, so we plan ahead: supervised catering, sealed meals or a dedicated kitchen arrangement, confirmed with you before travel.

Shabbat on safari

Shabbat becomes the quietest, most beautiful day of the journey — the lodge, the sounds of the bush and meals prepared in advance, with drives resuming after Havdalah.

Private by design

A private vehicle and guide mean the day moves at your pace — early mornings for keen photographers, slower days for grandparents and young children.

Questions, answered

Are there kosher safari lodges?
Very few lodges run kosher kitchens themselves. Kosher safaris usually rely on supervised catering or sealed provisioning arranged in advance, which we confirm for your standard.
Can we keep Shabbat on safari?
Yes. We schedule no drives or transfers on Shabbat and plan meals in advance so the day can be spent restfully at the lodge.
Is a kosher safari suitable for children?
With a private vehicle and guide, pacing and activities are adapted to the ages in your family.
